WhatYou Will Do
- Review and disposition Non‑Conforming Material (parts), Deviation Requests, and Waivers from OEM and supply base, supporting Aftermarket MRO reviews. Assess fit, form, function, interchangeability, health, safety, intended use, weight, appearance, and classification (major vs minor) based on provided technical information. Interact technically with Design Authority as needed. Determine or review part repair requirements or usage parameters.
- Must obtain and hold “Certified MRE” (Material Review Engineer) status to remain in this role. MRE customer re‑certification training provided by Quest Global.
- Conduct other typical design / design support engineering activities.
- Support business growth through daily work and interactions.
- Experience
- BSAE / BSME (required)
- 7+ years (minimum for Partial Engine Cert) of Gas Turbine Engine (Aero‑preferred – Marine/Industrial) component‑level Design Engineer experience.
- MRB (Material Review Board) and/or Non‑Conformance evaluation experience (noteworthy).
- Engineering Signatory responsibilities (noteworthy).
- Quality Engineering experience / conveyable knowledge.
- Other Quality Certifications (noteworthy).
- Required Skills (Technical Competency) / Attributes
- Component level aero/marine/industrial power gas turbine design experience – including material and engineering principles (fit, form, function).
- Ability to read/interpret drawings including GD&T.
- Reviewing engineering assessments, tolerance stacks, engineering change/deviations, repairs.
- Applying quality requirements / assessing hardware / interpreting inspection data.
- Presenting technical data/results to customer and regulatory representatives (FAA, DCAA).
- Knowledge of modern high‑tech manufacturing processes (metal, composites) and associated support equipment, gaging, and handling.
- Interaction with MRP systems (Oracle/SAP/CAPP/Solumina).

$70,000 – $90,000 USD. Compensation decisions are per company policy and based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job‑related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, paid overtime (per policy), bonus plan (per policy), and retirement plan.
Work Requirements- Must be able to commute to and from the location with own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours (1st shift – 2nd or alternate work week may also be available).
- Shop floor environment, which may include extensive walking and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Due to the nature of the work, minimal additional travel is required.
