Title: CNC Programmer
Location: Columbus, GA - Onsite
Job Description NC Program Development- Analyze part prints, manufacturing operation sheets, and NX part models to develop and modify Numerical Control (NC) programs for various 2, 3, 4, and 5 axis machine tools.
- Utilize NX CAD/CAM graphical system and Turbosoft + Airfoil programming software for program development.
- Provide machining and development teams with expertise on potential machining challenges and their impact on surface properties.
- Independently develop and refine NC programs, showcasing proficiency and initiative in program optimization.
- Determine optimal feeds, speeds, and tool selection for a range of milling applications.
- Collaborate with machine operators and Manufacturing Engineers to optimize machining processes and enhance machine tool capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering, manufacturing, technical, or related industrial fields; or a Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in similar roles.
- 5 or more years of experience in programming 2 - 5 axis machine tools using Unigraphics and Vericut CAD/CAM software systems.
- Proficiency in CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) languages, machining techniques, and machine tool capabilities for effective program design.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, including experience with Kaizen events or involvement in continuous improvement programs (ACE, 6S, etc.).
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
