Overview

Ultrasound Tech Student, PRN, Piedmont Columbus Midtown

• Performs a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures according to established standards and practices under the direct and/or indirect supervision of an experienced or lead ultrasound/vascular technologist.
• Conducts ultrasound imaging such as pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular examinations (e.g., peripheral vascular [arterial and venous], renal, aorta/iliac, carotid artery) and may perform more complex imaging such as breast ultrasound, deep Doppler and guided interventional procedures (e.g., biopsies).
• Prepares preliminary findings for review.
• Provides patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

• Education:
  
  Student currently enrolled in an accredited ultrasound program by the CAAHEP or Canadian Medical Association.
• Work Experience:
  
  One year as a student in an accredited CAAHEP or CMA program.
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) certified upon hire.
