Staff Pharmacist

Overview

Staff Pharmacist 7on7off, FT, Piedmont Columbus Midtown. Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, including dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities and monitors all orders filled by auxiliary personnel.

Assumes responsibility for competency and self‑development in professional pharmacy practice. Provides patient‑focused clinical care throughout the hospital to optimize medication therapy.

• Perform duties of distribution, documentation and compounding of drugs, solutions, and equipment to meet patient and staff needs.
• Review, compound, dispense, and monitor medication therapy for all age groups.
• Supervise pharmacy technician activities and monitor all orders filled by auxiliary personnel.
• Assume responsibility for competency and self‑development in professional pharmacy practice.
• Provide patient‑focused clinical care throughout the hospital to optimize medication therapy.

• Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy Required

• NA Required
• Hospital pharmacy experience Preferred

• Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia Required
