Practice Coordinator at Columbus Cardiology Associates, P.C.
Job Summary:
Provide healthcare services under the supervision of a physician. This will include diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services as delegated by a physician.
- Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and blood work.
- Identify, treat and manage chronic diseases.
- Identify and manage risk factors.
- Document accurate, legible and confidential medical information.
- Perform Quality Care Screenings.
- Maintain appropriate knowledge of Meaningful Use and documents accordingly.
- Prescribe rehabilitation therapy.
- Provide education to allow patients to make educated decisions regarding their healthcare.
- Refer patients to other healthcare providers.
- See patients in hospital as well as the office.
- Prescribe medications as per the physician.
- Provide medical care in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing
Experience: At least one year as a Nurse Practitioner in a medical office practice. Cardiology experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: RN Licensure by the Georgia State Board of Nursing
CPR Certification
Skills: Above average communication skills and ability to relate effectively to the public and health care professionals.
Working Conditions: Pleasant inside environment. Light to moderate physical effort. Moderate mental concentration and stress. Subject to exposure to infectious conditions and minor hazards such as muscle sprains, cuts and bruises.
