As an Examiner, you will conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for Veterans applying for disability compensation. The role involves reviewing the claim, performing focused assessments of claimed injuries, reviewing medical records, and rendering a medical opinion based on the record review.
Charting from home may be required. Each examiner plays a vital role in the overall experience of the Veteran.
Clinical Examiners will use a web-based examination form in a proprietary online system to capture patient information. Qualified candidates must hold an active license and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Pay:
Base + Monthly Incentive = $127,732-$157,726 a year.
- Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations of Veterans, including reviewing medical history and performing physical examinations.
- Review and analyze medical records, diagnostic test results, and other documentation.
- Render objective medical opinions regarding the extent of the veteran's health issues.
- Organize workload and submit examination findings in the case management system.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and specialists as needed.
- Document examination findings in clear reports following VA guidelines.
- Partner with all Loyal Source departments to meet deadlines.
- Manage scheduling and availability for all C&P exams.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Valid and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the U.S.
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Physician Assistant.
- Experience conducting medical disability examinations preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Military experience or familiarity with veterans communities preferred.
- Completion of specialized training in Medical Disability Evaluations advantageous.
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting comprehensive medical assessments.
- Strong analytical, communication, ethics, and organizational skills.
- Authorized to work in the United States.

Physical RequirementsProlonged standing and sitting at a desk, lift up to 15 pounds, full range of motion necessary for examinations.
Travel Requirements10% travel required, additional travel for training or events.
ScheduleMonday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm standard schedule. Holidays clinics closed.
