We are looking for a Java / Python / AWS Engineer to join as a Software Engineer on a contract to hire basis.

Location:

Columbus, OH. Duration: 6+ Months. This is a hands-on role with lead responsibilities in developing agentic applications using LLMs.

Note: This listing may include multiple sections that describe required technicalprowess, cloud-native development, design thinking, and SaaS-specific considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of agentic applications using LLMs
• Must be strong in either Java or Python (need to be able to work in both)
• Must be very strong in AWS
• Should have good baseline skills in Machine learning
• Should have some hands on Agentic AI experience
• This is 100% hands on 603 level lead
• Nice to Have skills: experience with Chat bots/AI agents

Technical Prowess

• Deep Java Expertise: thorough understanding of core Java concepts, concurrency, collections, I/O, and JVM internals.
• Frameworks and Libraries: proficient with Spring (Boot, MVC, Data, Security) and related life cycles, best practices, and pitfalls.
• Database Expertise: knowledge of SQL and No
  
  SQL, data modeling, transactions, performance optimization, and interacting with Postgre
  
  SQL, Cassandra, etc.
• API Design and Development: design and implement robust, scalable RESTful or Graph
  
  QL APIs with attention to idempotency, rate limiting, and versioning.

Cloud-Native Development

• Cloud Platforms: deep understanding of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services relevant to SaaS (compute, storage, databases, networking).
• Containerization and Orchestration:
  Docker and Kubernetes/ECS for managing and scaling SaaS apps in the cloud.
• Serverless Architectures: familiarity with serverless computing (Lambda, Functions) is beneficial.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): using Terraform or Cloud Formation for automated provisioning and management.

Problem-Solving and Design Thinking

• Multi-tenancy: design and implement multi-tenant architecture with security and performance in mind.

• Billing and Metering: implement robust billing for different pricing models.
• Provisioning and Onboarding: automated tenant sign-up and resource provisioning.
• SLAs: design to meet performance and availability targets.

Security in a Multi-Tenant Environment

• Tenant Isolation: data and resource isolation with encryption and access control.
• IAM: robust authentication & authorization; RBAC and MFA concepts.
• Data Security and Compliance: knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA and security best practices.

API Design and Integration for SaaS

• API Development: well-documented and secure APIs for tenant integration.
• API Gateways: use gateways to manage, secure, and monitor API access.
• Integration with other SaaS Applications: knowledge of integration patterns and technologies.

Monitoring, Logging, and Analytics

• Effective Logging and Performance Monitoring: collect and analyze logs, monitor KPIs, and identify issues.
• Tenant-Specific Monitoring: provide tenants with usage and performance insights.
• Business Intelligence and Analytics: collect and analyze data to gain insights into tenant behavior and platform usage.
