Description:
Position is only open to work in the Columbus, GA office. Candidates must live locally in the area to be considered. Candidates in Columbus will work a Hybrid work model of up to 3 days in office. At this time, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States (or applicable country) on a full-time basis without the need for current or future immigration sponsorship.

Analyze business requests to be solved with automated systems. Formulate and design automated systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Provide expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that meet user requirements and are within stated sizing estimates. Configure system settings and options; plan and execute business design, assist in integration and acceptance testing, where necessary;
and create specifications for system to meet business requirements. Include analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
- Work within an agile scrum team to include a Scrum Master, Product Owner, business analyst, test analysts, application developers and client counterparts to design and deliver new products or capabilities in an iterative, continuous fashion
- Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, screen mock-ups, flow diagrams, etc. outlining the solution to be implemented
- Be accountable for assisting in the gathering and verification of non-functional requirements, review of architectures and designs, adherence to standards, and developing and implementing strategies for validating that the target requirements have been adequately addressed
- Be an active participant in all agile scrum ceremonies
- Be responsible for maintaining project and system documentation
- Be a strong advocate for the development team’s priorities and challenge and will push back on scope-creep and negotiate timelines with the product owner
- Are flexible, responsive, creative, innovative, accepting of change and place value on people and interactions
- Are business oriented, thinking continuously about what can be done to improve the business, and the business processes which drive the business
- Are able to retain enough independence to evaluate potential solutions based on the overall impact to the organization, rather than the influence of the particular business area and its managers
- Are able to challenge the business manager, sponsor, problem owner and users to define the real business problem behind the expressed “needs” to ensure that the solution team is solving the right problem, and not providing the right solution to the wrong problem
- Are willing to step into other roles on the agile scrum team when necessary to help the team meet defined goals
- Are able to collaborate openly within a mixed team of developers, analysts and product owners
- Have the ability to analyze a problem, organize thoughts and recommend approaches
- Are a creative thinker, comfortable pushing the boundaries of standard industry practices

- Have testing and/or programming/technical experience
- Are experienced in Agile/Scrum methodology, and the development of associated project artifacts (i.e., user stories, acceptance criteria)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Experience or Degree in:
Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field; or equivalent training or experience in lieu of degree - Four-year college degree and 0-2+ years professional experience, or a high school diploma with 2+ years professional experience in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data
