Primary Function: The job of Senior Technology Support Specialist is done for the purpose/s of being a critical escalation point for resolving complex technical issues, ensuring reliable and effective technology solutions that enhance both learning and operational efficiency across the school district. This role requires advanced technical expertise, a strong customer service approach, professionalism, and excellent communication skills to effectively assist and collaborate with educators, staff, and students.

This position is responsible for addressing escalated technical challenges, coordinating solutions, and providing guidance to ensure seamless technology operations. It involves troubleshooting and resolving advanced issues with district technology, minimizing disruptions for users, and ensuring systems function optimally. The role includes overseeing installation, configuration, and support of technology solutions across the Muscogee County School District. Additionally, the Senior Technology Support Specialist works closely with educators, staff, and students to ensure technology aligns with their needs and enhances productivity.

Staying informed about emerging technologies and assessing their potential to improve district operations is a key aspect of this position. The role also involves contributing to the development and implementation of best practices for technology use and security across the district.

As an escalation point for complex technical concerns, this role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide advanced support in a networked environment. Additional vendor specific training will be required to successfully serve as a point of escalation for issues with solutions that are in and out of warranty. A strong customer service approach and adaptability in the rapidly evolving technology landscape within an educational setting are essential.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Educational Level:

High school diploma or equivalent;
Targeted, job related education with study in job-related area.

2. Certification/Licenses

Required:

Valid Driver’s License;
Manufacturer-Specific Device Certification Training
