Pastoral Qualifications- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ; mature spiritual life.
- Ordained Southern Baptist Minister.
- Education:
Master of Divinity or equivalent theological training is preferred. - Experience:
At least 5 years of pastoral ministry, proven in preaching, leadership, and discipleship. - Commitment to:
- Expositional preaching; belief in the inerrant Word of God.
- Prayerful study of Scripture, setting a Godly example.
- Reaching youth, college students, and young adults.
- Applying Biblical church discipline when necessary.
- Leading staff to minister to the Body of Christ.
- Evangelism and missions with a heart for service.
- Adhering to the 2000 Baptist Faith & Message.
- Skills and Characteristics:
- Strong Biblical knowledge and doctrinal integrity.
- Excellent communication; connects with a diverse congregation.
- Shepherd’s heart with passion for pastoral care and discipleship.
- Leader who equips and trains other leaders.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Visionary focused on spiritual growth of the church.
