• Operate cash register and handle cash, credit, debit, and gift card transactions accurately.
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
• Address customer questions, issues, and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure all forms of payment are processed properly and securely.
• Provide correct change to customers.
• Regularly count the cash drawer for accuracy and report any discrepancies to a supervisor.
• Properly bag and package items, taking care of fragile items; follow store policies on returns or exchanges.
• Check stock levels; alert supervisors of low inventory or replenish shelves near the cash register occasionally.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area; ensure necessary supplies are available.
• Suggest add‑on items or promotions politely; provide information on current sales, discounts, or loyalty programs.
• Adhere to all company policies related to cash handling, customer service, and safety; ensure transactions comply with store regulations and security measures.
