Position: Roadway Testing Technician (RTT)

Roadway Testing Technician (RTT)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Douglas County)

Salary: $25.00/hr - $35.00/hr (based on experience; to be discussed with manager)

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Perform on‑site quality control tests, inspections, and project‑specific observations/evaluations.
  • Monitor and inspect roadway construction to ensure compliance with plans, safety and contract requirements.
  • Conduct record‑keeping to document all observations.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and client representatives.
  • Interpret and work from drawings and specifications.
Education / Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant roadway testing experience.
  • Required Georgia Department of Transportation RTT Certified Technician.
  • ACI certification required.
  • Radiation safety training for use of Nuclear Density Gauge required.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability.
Physical Requirements
  • Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.
  • Ability to carry required instruments and equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Subject to variable climate and environmental conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
