Responsible for a variety of routine safety and emergency security activities while safeguarding students, employees, visitors, patients and property. First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility.

Minimum education required:
High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum experience:
  
  Two years of experience in general security, military or other public safety experience preferred.
• Minimum licensing/certification required by law:
  Valid Driver’s license & adherence to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500.
• Additional qualifications:
  
  Certified Healthcare Security Officer (IAHSS) required within one year of hire. Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification preferred.
• Must carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton required.
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening.
• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment, including certifications in Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed.
