A Day in the Life of an HVAC Technician

The HVAC Technician works as part of a dynamic and passionate team, demonstrating technical competency and exceeding customer expectations by performing high-quality service. They perform semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Responsibilities include the complete and satisfactory installation of HVAC equipment and accessories such as boilers, forced air equipment, sheet metal duct systems, pipe cutting and threading, and gas piping.

They establish themselves as knowledgeable professionals to gain referrals and repeat business. The HVAC Technician will adhere to the company's plan for resolving customer complaints quickly and effectively by communicating with customers, answering questions, resolving problems, and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. They maintain a clean, organized job site and a well-inventoried truck. Excellent verbal and written communication skills will help them to be accurate and timely with invoices and timesheets.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in repair and replacement HVAC systems preferred; less experience considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Knowledge of local HVAC codes and ability to apply them on the job.
• Clean driving record and valid Driver's License.
• Organized with excellent follow-through skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
