• Weld metal parts together using gas welding, brazing, and arc welding processes.
• Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding, repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes and increase the size of metal parts, and position and clamp components prior to welding.
• Locate and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads using inspection equipment and a gas torch.
• Pass employer performance tests or standard certification tests required by governmental agencies or professional associations.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Certifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience

• Three years of experience in various types of welding and use of welding tools, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform and pass a welding demonstration that assesses competency in multiple welding techniques.
• Must obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Must successfully pass a NACI background investigation.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

• Prolonged standing at a maintenance table and periodic use of a solvent‑parts cleaning machine.
• Exposure to dust, grease, oils and chemicals that may burn and irritate skin and eyes.
• Potential for cuts, bruises, shocks and strains; must follow OSHA, EPA, fire prevention regulations and company safety rules.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Standing, climbing, bending, and working in cramped areas.
• Frequent lifting of equipment up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
