Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair physical security and fire alarm systems at customer locations.
- Perform preventative maintenance per service and maintenance contracts.
- Troubleshoot issues remotely using software and internet connectivity.
- Travel to customer sites throughout Florida and Georgia on a daily basis.
- Research and resolve equipment issues independently.
- Perform special projects and assist with other technical support tasks as needed.
Job Skills
- Electrical background and knowledge of electronic equipment.
- Low‑voltage background (relays, loops, inputs/outputs).
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and testing equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- PC skills (Microsoft Office, Command Prompt, manufacturer software).
- Strong organizational and schematic reading skills.
- Ability to travel to project locations.
- Edwards Life Safety equipment knowledge preferred.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- References, background check, drug screen.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience.
- Preferred Post‑Secondary Certificate and NICET I.
- Valid state driver’s license (as required).
- Work in varied weather conditions; use construction site sanitary facilities.
- Carry personal tools; work from ladders and other elevated platforms up to 90 ft.
- Work in restricted areas: network closets, crawl spaces.
- Wear PPE; work 40 hours + overtime; night, weekend, and out‑of‑town shifts may be required.
- Interpret construction drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Use power tools safely; operate two‑handed tools.
- Read manuals and site instructions.
- Lifting up to 50 lb; frequent lifting of 20 lb.
- Stand, move, climb, and work overhead for a full day.
