Human Resources Generalist

NTN Driveshaft, a global leader in constant velocity technology for the automotive industry, seeks a skilled HR Generalist to join our team at our Columbus, Indiana, facility. With over 1,800 employees and rapidly increasing customer demand, NTN Driveshaft is at the forefront of manufacturing Constant Velocity Joints (CVJs) for major automotive companies, including Honda, Ford, Toyota, GM, Chrysler, and many other leading OEMs.

$70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Proactively identifies organizational needs (talent assessment, team effectiveness, staffing, etc.) and develops strategies for resolving and addressing needs
- Administrative tasks such as job postings, background checks, and assisting potential employees with online applications
- Help enroll employees in Wellness Screenings and Health Risk Assessments
- Prioritize/multi-task and handle a multitude of HR assignments
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Responsible for obtaining, recording, forwarding, and explaining human resource information
- Maintain human resources records, including applications, resumes, and applicant logs
- Medical interpreter for the onsite Health and Wellness Center
- Assist employees by explaining benefit programs and avoiding legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
- Guide employees regarding Health, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Family Medical Leave, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, 401(k) programs, Wellness Programs, and Payroll
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field, or 5 years of equivalent generalist experience
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similar environment
- At least 1 year of experience in recruiting, selecting, and staffing hourly positions, as well as training and other generalist responsibilities
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with compensation practices, employee relations, and federal and state employment laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, and payroll systems (ADP Workforce preferred)
- Proven experience in employee relations, counseling, and effective communication
