We are looking for a talented Sourcing Manager to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Corporate organization in Columbus,  this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Lead the development and execution of sourcing and procurement strategies that reduce total cost of ownership (TCO), minimize supply chain risks, and support overall business objectives.

Drive supplier capacity planning and demand management efforts to ensure consistent material availability, operational efficiency, and business continuity.

Partner with business leaders, engineering teams, and new product development functions to ensure procurement strategies support innovation, product launches, and growth initiatives.

Support new plant start-ups and expansion projects by establishing supplier networks, securing critical materials, and ensuring seamless supply chain readiness.

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that streamline procurement processes, increase productivity, and enhance supply chain performance.

Build and strengthen strategic relationships with key suppliers to improve collaboration, drive innovation, and achieve long-term value for the organization.

Ensure sourcing and contract activities comply with company standards by validating procurement decisions, mitigating risk, and maintaining alignment with organizational goals.

Lead, coach, and develop procurement teams by setting clear performance expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and high performance.

Qualifications Sourcing Manager for Power Cylinder Categories 5-10 years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience.

Experience with in automotive, heavy-duty, or engine-related industries strongly preferred.

Knowledge of IP development, technology development, or product innovation is a plus.

Experience managing supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Strong collaboration, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work effectively with engineering, operations, and global teams.

- Establishes and controls product and service costs using functional tools to deliver and track product and services at competitive prices. Ensures competitiveness of Cummins products in our markets while preserving desired margins. Utilizes Total Cost Opportunity (TCO) model methodology.

Intellectual Property Management
