Hours:

4:00 am–12:15 p.m. & 6:00 am–2:15 p.m. (Hours may vary).

Service Manager – Niles Frisbie.

NTN DRIVESHAFT, INC. – Assembly Service Operator.

Performs a variety of component assembly operations, using hand tools and mechanically assisted operations, to produce assembles CVJ's. Rotates among various stations to perform sub‑assembly operations on an assigned product line. Coordinates with other team members for efficient assembly. Learns the typical 25–30 component parts making each product assembly, through on‑the‑job training.

• Observes operation of machines and verifies conformance to specifications.
• Records quality inspection data on check sheets.
• Records production information on daily reports.
• Moves control switches to check and reset machines.
• Records inventory transactions using the Bar Code Inventory system.
• Supplies components to hoppers, indexing poles or conveyors.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in assembly.
• Ability to complete manual or computer production records.
• Ability to read WOCOS and drawings.
• JDE scanner experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools, micrometers, calipers and gauges with training.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions, and safety rules.
• Ability to participate effectively in small group discussions for continuous improvement activities, contribute to ongoing 5‑S efficiencies, and communicate effectively with supervisor and co‑workers on work assignments, problems/issues, and training on new processes.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision after training is complete.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Repetitive bending, turning and twisting 8–12 hours a day.
• Strict attention to quality and safety.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently.

• Lift and Carry:
  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Standing & Walking:
  Ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances, often on concrete or uneven surfaces and up and down steps.
• Repetitive Motion:
  Capable of performing repetitive tasks, including grasping, lifting, twisting and bending.
• Hand‑eye coordination:
  Ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools, and controls and make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.

  Ability to use manual dexterity to operate levers, buttons, and controls.
• Vision & Attention to Detail:
  Good close, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus and ensure safe operations, including reading gauges and safety indicators.

  Ability to maintain focus and physical energy throughout the workday, which may include handling loads, stacking, and organizing materials in a fast‑paced environment.
• Balance & Mobility:
  Must have good balance and be able to move freely in tight spaces.
• Environmental Conditions:
  
  Ability to work in various conditions including varying temperatures, exposure to manufacturing oils and fluids, and moderate noise levels.
