Assembly Manager

The Team Leader oversees, monitors, and coordinates production team activities, emphasizing individual contributions while achieving overall team goals. They ensure alignment with company directives, act as a liaison between team members and other departments, and maintain standards, safety, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

• Maintain time and production records
• Responsible for the JD Edwards system
• Read and apply standards
• Run lines as needed
• Investigate quality issues using 5-Why methodology
• Check under machine for defective parts or components
• Verify all emergency stop buttons are functional
• Confirm setup readiness
• Clean and organize assigned work area daily
• Adhere to all safety rules
• Work overtime as requested or scheduled
• Maintain oil and coolant levels
• Remove chips from clip groove machine
• Clean chips from all lathes
• Empty chip hoppers and scrap areas
• Complete recuts and repairs
• Sweep and mop floors as required
• Wipe down machines as needed
• Ensure machines are running at shift change
• Complete necessary paperwork, including downtime logs
• Perform any other duties assigned by the manager

• Previous supervisory, setup, or training experience preferred
• 2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with gauging instruments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem‑solving abilities
• Familiarity with QS9000 standards
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
• High School Diploma

• Stamina and endurance: work long shifts, often standing for extended periods.
• Move between different areas of the production floor to ensure smooth operations.
• Manual dexterity: use hand tools or operate machinery.
• Handle delicate or complex components carefully.
• Good vision for inspecting products, machinery, and processes.
• Lift or move heavy items as needed.
• Rapid movement to monitor production and resolve issues.
• Understand and adhere to safety protocols, including PPE use.
• Comfort working in noisy, high‑energy environments and in varying temperatures or hazardous conditions.
