Joining H&R Block as a seasonal,
experienced Tax Professional means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training you’ll need to be successful.

• Inspire clients to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money, and build client relationships that grow stronger each year.
• Serve clients with diverse tax needs and provide excellent service with the support of an expert team and training.
• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Tax notice services available across all certification levels; audit representation available for Circular 230 associates.
• Mentor and support teammates.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (preferred).
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred).
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or related requirement.
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax; experience completing individual returns.
• Comfort working with virtual tools (video, phone, chat); ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma or higher (required).
