Job Summary

Under general direction of the Controller, the Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting month-end close, assisting financial activities and overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll, and general ledger accounting functions on a daily basis. The right candidate will be a self-starter, who enjoys working with numbers, and has a solid background in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Controller in daily banking requirements
• Process biweekly payroll and maintain personnel records
• Enter and reconcile vendor invoices (accounts payable)
• Post customer payments and manage accounts receivable
• Create invoices for customers
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile bank statements and dealership accounts monthly
• Compile data and maintain appropriate sales records and reports
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Collaborate with department managers to resolve accounting issues
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
