Position DescriptionSolar Technician – Operations and Maintenance.
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and installing equipment in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain solar power plants safely and professionally.
- Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues promptly.
- Use digital multimeters, megers, amp clamps, and similar equipment to test installed equipment and perform daily mechanical and electrical inspections.
- Document work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency schedules.
- Control inventory of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Maintain high quality control of tools, vehicles, and materials.
- Train, mentor, and develop laborers into apprentices.
- Ensure continuing education to meet safety and plant requirements.
- Work weekends, holidays, and on‑call service availability via telephone/text message as needed.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- 3 years suitable employment experience; high aptitude and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Basic electrical calculations, reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Prioritizing and workflow management; independent work with minimal supervision.
- Physical activity including lifting up to 80 lbs.
- Clear background check and drug screening.
$25 – $45 per hour.
