Job DescriptionAirbus Helicopters is looking for an Aviation Electrical Technician to join our Electrical Bachshop team based in Columbus, MS.

Your Working EnvironmentOn the eastern border of Mississippi you'll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It's here that we produce the UH‑72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H‑125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

- Apply the basic techniques and procedures of electrical installation.
- Read and follow detailed plans, diagrams, and standards in the fabrication of wire harnesses and electrical components.
- Lay-in route wires on form board, tie, lace, and apply appropriate anti‑chaff protection.
- Install solder shields, splices, daisy chains, and electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and diodes.
- Use common aviation type tooling and maintain a safe workplace.
- Minimum of two (2) years of aircraft electrical experience in aviation.
- Avionics and Cabling Class (e.g., offered by EMCC) is highly preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Familiarity with common aviation type tooling.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Onsite or remote: 95% of time onsite.
- Vision: must be able to see full spectrum of color and read documents and engineering drawings.
- Hearing: able to hear conversations and safety warnings.
- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings.
- Equipment operation: operate office equipment and some production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
- Carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling: able to carry or lift up to 30 lbs (14 kg).
- Sitting and standing: able to sit for long periods and stand for discussions.
- Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.
- Required PPE includes Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site.
