Continuous Improvement Specialist

Stark Aerospace is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain a robust Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma program to drive measurable performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma program to drive measurable performance improvements.
  • Facilitate CI events and activities that deliver tailored value to customers and positively impact company KPIs.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
  • Act as a change agent, coaching and influencing employees and leadership to adopt CI methodologies and sustain improvement efforts.
  • Train employees on Lean tools and methods, including root cause analysis, problem-solving, and waste reduction.
  • Analyze cost drivers and propose alternative solutions that reduce expenses while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Support and track CI initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with company strategic objectives.
  • Support the implementation of shop floor management strategies, including Visual Management, Cell Design, and Material Flow optimization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, or quality improvement roles.
  • Demonstrated success in diagnosing root causes and driving sustainable performance improvements.
  • Strong change management and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels and departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 Rev D quality standards.
  • Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent CI certification.
