Registered Nurse in MS/Tele provides comprehensive care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac monitoring needs. They assess patient conditions, administer medications, and manage telemetry equipment to monitor heart rhythms. The nurse collaborates with physicians and the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans. They ensure patient safety, accurate documentation, and ongoing education to support recovery and discharge readiness.

Weekends - variable based on unit needs
No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff

• Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule
• First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor
• If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

• The most common diagnoses include all subtypes of the following:
  • Breast Cancer
  • Lung Cancer
  • Prostate Cancer
  • Pancreatic Cancer
  • Colon Cancer
  • Esophageal Cancer
  • Encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy

• Cares for ALL solid tumor cancers throughout the spectrum of their cancer journey; from new diagnosis, through treatment, and also assisting with transition to end of life care.
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
• Cares for patients that have true med surg issues

• BLS

• Telemetry Interpretation
• Telemetry monitoring

• ONS Chemo

• EPIC

Floating required to other Med Surg Oncology units
