A&P Quality Inspector (Contract Position) – Airbus Helicopters, Columbus, MS
Contract Position – Pay Rate: $40.00/hr.
What You’ll Do:- Perform detailed inspections on aircraft systems and components (dimensional checks, damage assessment, functional tests).
- Approve or reject incoming materials for production.
- Use precision tools and instruments to ensure exact specification limits.
- Certify airworthiness and prepare required documentation.
- Support continuous improvement, assist with audits, and uphold Airbus' core values.
- Inspect material, components, and assemblies for quality and compliance.
- Check for proper fit, form, and function per design specifications.
- Quarantine and report non-conforming items.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Research directives and validate engineering drawings as needed.
- Assist in team meetings, departmental events, and continuous improvement projects.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current and valid FAA Airframe & Power Plant License
- 4+ years of aircraft quality inspection experience, or 6+ years as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)
- Part 145 Repair Station experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical, regulatory, and engineering documentation
- Experience with inspection tools and measuring devices
Experience:
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA), FCC 2nd Class License, or Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Certificate
- Associates Degree in Aviation or related industry
- 6+ years on Airbus Helicopters as a certified AMT or Quality Inspector
- Proficiency in French, German, or Spanish
- Occasional travel may be required (domestic or international).
- Proof of employment eligibility required at hire.
