Store Helper

Overview

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organi zation, has a job opening for a Store Helper for the Family Thrift Store, located in Columbus, MS.

Assists customers in donating, locating and/or selecting store items; stocks and arranges store items in a neat and orderly manner; monitors the store displays and performs various cleaning activities to ensure the store is properly maintained.

Ability to maintain the store displays in a neat and orderly manner. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

No formal education or experience required.

None

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light objects (less than 25 lbs.). Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
