The Yard Care Gate Attendant plays a key role in maintaining efficient equipment flow and communication between departments. The position is responsible for managing the entry and exit of all heavy equipment deliveries, ensuring proper routing, and maintaining a safe, organized yard environment. The attendant serves as the first point of contact for drivers, customers, and delivery personnel entering the facility.

• Serve as the primary gatekeeper for all incoming and outgoing heavy equipment deliveries.
• Check in and document all equipment arriving for service, rental, sales, or repair.
• Direct trucks and drivers to the proper unloading or loading areas based on delivery type.
• Communicate promptly with internal teams (Service, Rental, Wash Rack, and Yard) regarding incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Coordinate with the Wash Rack Attendant to ensure equipment is unloaded, cleaned, and processed correctly.
• Maintain accurate delivery and shipping logs and update records in the system as required.
• Assist with equipment inspections upon arrival and departure to ensure accurate condition documentation.
• Support yard organization by keeping drive lanes, staging areas, and equipment rows clear and orderly.
• Monitor the security of the yard by ensuring gates are opened and closed according to company policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including assisting with light yard maintenance or equipment organization when delivery traffic is light.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with heavy equipment, trucking, or logistics operations preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, outdoor environment.
• Basic understanding of heavy machinery types preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  
  Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around heavy machinery and equipment traffic.
