Job DescriptionAs a Vibratory Engineer at Superior Industries, you'll play a key role in the design and development of custom vibratory equipment from concept to manufacturing. This role offers the opportunity to get hands‑on involvement in design analysis, testing, prototyping, and cross‑team collaboration —offering comprehensive engineering involvement in the product life cycle and impact on the aggregate industry.
A Vibratory Engineer is responsible for completing the following duties:
- Coordinate, design and detail custom vibratory equipment for the aggregate market
- Design and detail custom vibratory equipment
- Perform testing and prototyping of new products
- Assist production teams and field teams in troubleshooting equipment issues
- Perform design analysis for components
- Complete bills of material
- Evaluate and implement design changes
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or related education
- Thorough understanding of:
- Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances
- Mechanical power relationships such as horse power, torque, speed, ratios
- Shaft, bearing, and power transmission design and analysis
- Strengths of materials and structural analysis
- Motion and dynamics principles such as g‑force and natural frequency
- Training and/or experience in using Solid Works, Auto Desk Inventor, Au or similar 3D CAD software
- Training and/or experience in FEA simulation and interpretation
- Strong mechanical aptitude
