Position SummaryResponsible for molding process capability, cost reduction, and continuous improvement project implementation within the designated manufacturing unit. Provides specific engineering work related to the field of expertise with broad overlap between engineering disciplines. Supports capacity planning and growth, defines budgeted rates and process documentation, and ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations.
Requires regular, punctual attendance, English language proficiency, and commitment to BD Values.
- Execute Engineering Studies, EWO's, Validations, and Change control while following GMP.
- Provide technical expertise on molding process and equipment issues.
- Create and transfer technical knowledge to operators and technical associates.
- Coach associates on continuous improvement methodologies.
- Identify top losses, develop and implement plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE performance.
- Manage manufacturing unit change control including validation activities, root cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses, and quality events and deviations.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering;
Plastic Engineering Degree preferred.
- Two years medical manufacturing experience preferred.
- Previous technical molding experience (understanding of molding process, equipment, automation, fundamentals, mold design and metrology) preferred.
