Job SummaryProvides mechanical support to the assigned department to achieve production and quality goals, ensuring compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and all applicable regulations. Requires regular, punctual attendance, English proficiency, and adherence to BD values.
Responsibilities- Support department production by keeping machines in proper working order.
- Review production machine performance continually.
- Maintain equipment to reduce downtime by performing required preventive maintenance (PM).
- Order replacement parts as required.
- Identify and implement process improvements using the CIR process.
- Assist with engineering projects when required.
- Work during plant shutdown periods to perform PM and assist with engineering projects.
- Mentor new Mechanical Technicians.
- Other duties as required to support business needs.
- Standardization and configuration of assigned equipment according to specifications.
- Elimination of recurring equipment problems.
- Continuous improvements to equipment-related waste and quality performance.
This position does not supervise any associates.
Education & Experience- Minimum Education: HSD/GED
- Preferred Education: Associate degree – Mechanical or related technical field
- Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of related experience
- Basic or Simple KSA: Electrical, Computer
- Proficient/Working KSA: Mechanical/Technical systems, Equipment troubleshooting
