C Shift.
Provides mechanical support to assigned department to achieve production and quality goals. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices. Requires regular, punctual attendance and proficiency in English. Must uphold BD Values.
Responsibilities- Support departmental production by maintaining machines in proper working order.
- Review production machine performance on a continual basis.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) to reduce downtime.
- Order replacement parts as required.
- Identify and implement process improvements using the CIR process.
- Assist with engineering projects when required.
- Work during plant shutdown periods to perform PM and assist engineering projects.
- Mentor new Mechanical Technicians.
- Other duties as required to support business needs.
- Standardize and configure assigned equipment according to specifications.
- Eliminate recurring equipment problems.
- Continuously improve equipment‑related waste and quality performance.
- High School Diploma or GED. Associates degree in mechanical or related technical field preferred.
- 3‑5 years of related mechanical/technical experience.
- Proficiency in mechanical/technical systems and equipment troubleshooting.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
