Perform microbial and chemical analysis of plant water and air, and conduct microbial load testing on a variety of products. Prepare biological indicators for sterilization; maintain laboratory media, solutions, documents, and records for assigned testing and projects. Review and update procedures. Ensure compliance with BD quality systems, policies, and all relevant safety regulations. Regular, punctual attendance is essential. Ability to read, write, and converse in English.

- Analyze and report environmental conditions for various manufacturing operations.
- Assist the microbiologist with testing and general laboratory functions.
- Interact directly with production personnel.
- Execute routine laboratory procedures: endotoxin testing (water and product), environmental viable and particulate testing in manufacturing and clean rooms, bioburdens, water collection, review particulate, TOC/conductivity charts on water, biological indicator placement and packaging.
- Operate all laboratory equipment.
- Read microbial plates.
- Trend data (environmentals, water, and bioburdens).
- Execute validation protocols to support sterilization, machine and room expansion in manufacturing and clean rooms.
- Assist in writing and revising laboratory procedures and review notices for non-conformances.
- Perform other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
- High School Diploma/GED – Required
- Associate’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Laboratory Science – Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Laboratory Science – Preferred
- 2 years of laboratory experience – Preferred
