ResponsibilitiesAs a Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store. You will often be the first point of contact to assist our patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately while delivering caring service that exceeds expectations.
- Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation.
- Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, offering immunizations and other services, and resolving patient problems.
- Completing basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts and waiting bin inventories.
- Engaging in continuous learning to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
- Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling to other stores as required.
- Complying with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies and procedures related to patient safety and privacy.
- Delivering additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point‑of‑care testing when authorized.
Where permissible, the Pharmacy Technician may also support immunizations, which includes the following responsibilities:
- Completing additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
- Educating patients about vaccines and directing vaccine questions to the Pharmacist‑on‑duty.
- Monitoring and responding to adverse reactions and reporting events per public health requirements.
- Collecting, tracking and documenting patient information related to vaccinations.
- Managing vaccine supplies.
- Compliance with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
- If the state board does not impose a minimum age, you must be at least 16 years old.
- If the state board does not impose a minimum education requirement, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or an equivalent program.

- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.

- Confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
