Spare Parts Technician JGC shift

Job Summary Maintains control of inventories in the tool crib and provides tool crib assistance to manufacturing teams engaged in continuous improvement projects. Oversees incoming material activities, verifies accuracy of received and shipped materials, and ensures compliance with BD quality systems and safety regulations.

• Uses technical knowledge to assist tool crib customers with locating and stocking inventories.
• Ensures spare parts availability to minimize manufacturing downtime via SAP work order creation for all spare part transactions.
• Completes projects and tasks to minimize stock outs and maximize inventory accuracy.
• Conducts physical inventories to verify manufacturing inventory stock in designated locations and appropriate quantities.
• Assists in organization and rearrangement of inventory stock to facilitate accurate access of inventory items.
• Supports administration of the Plant PM System and interfaces with manufacturing teams on continuous improvement projects.
• Interfaces with corporate buyers and vendors to solve issues and discrepancies and maintains material master data records.
• Conducts SAP transactions, inventory adjustments, and cycle counting; generates counting sheets and performs corrections as needed.
• Works with engineers to create new parts requests and expedites past‑due orders brought to attention by the Corporate Purchasing Group.
• Runs reports in SAP, updates dashboards, and reports area performance to management.
• Leads incoming parts stocking activities and provides detailed and accurate receipt and issue of spare parts.

• High School diploma/GED required;
  Associate’s Degree in a technical or related field preferred.
• Two years inventory control experience preferred; previous mechanical repair or troubleshooting experience required.
