KENT® Nutrition, a member of the KENTWORLDWIDE family of companies has a great opportunity to join their team as a Mixer Operator in Columbus, NE! This role will perform all scheduled feed mill mixing in a safe, proficient and efficient manner for optimum production that meets company specifications. This is a full-time opportunity with a schedule of 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
- This position is designed and intended to be performed in Columbus, NE.
- Maintain mixing system for all finished feeds
- Calibration of the mixing system
- Ensure all mixing is in accordance with formula card for quality assurance
- Record and update logs of various feed formulations mixed daily
- Make sure equipment is operating properly, cleaned and maintained to ensure proper and continual working condition if mill operation
- Keep management informed of any errors or issues in the mixing process
- Follow feed mill Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist in any area of production as requested by the production superintendent, plant manager or supervisor
- Learn and follow cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) in Feed Mixer’s Guide
- Other duties as assigned by plant management
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old to work in plant
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
- Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan
- Knowledge of FSMA
- Good communication skills; verbal and written
- Math skills sufficient to complete documentation
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Thorough understanding of cGMP’s
- Prior experience in feed or production related work
- Able to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs. from floor to working height as job requires
- Ability to work safely in a dust environment
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasonal weather conditions
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
