As a Mechanical Technician – A Shift, your general function is to set up, changeover, improve, and maintain production equipment to meet quality and quantity standards. You will train and develop operators, provide on‑floor leadership, and ensure compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

• Responsible for doing changeovers and setting up equipment properly.
• Keep equipment running in a good state of repair to meet production and quality standards.
• Generate accurate maintenance records and other records as required by management.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and preventive maintenance.
• Provide coverage for others who are absent.
• Help operators run equipment and provide assistance during operators’ break times.
• Lead teams on scheduling, process improvement, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Work safely, handle chemicals properly, and ensure the safety of work mates.
• Comply with other requests made by management.
• Work in a clean room environment and follow all GMP rules.
• Perform other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred in a mechanical related field.

• Mechanical skills/education/background required.

• Mechanical ability – Proficient.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving – Proficient.
• Hand tool and gauge knowledge – Proficient.
• Independent thinking – Proficient.
• Teamwork – Proficient.
• Leadership skills – Proficient.

• May require respirators to be worn and mandatory passing of annual fit testing.
• May require annual HAZWOPER training and may require being a Chemical Emergency Response Team member.

Rotating schedule / A Shift / 6AM-6PM.
