Position SummaryLead associates in an engaged manner to achieve desired results in a manufacturing unit. Coach associates on continuous improvement, safety, quality, production, cost, and housekeeping. Ensure compliance with BD quality systems and safety regulations while driving production performance to meet goals and schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities- Promptly address safety issues or incidents.
- Spend a minimum of 75% of time on the production floor leading associates.
- Responsible for staffing and training plans within the department.
- Provide regular, timely, and specific feedback to associates.
- Create a learning environment and challenge associates to meet higher expectations.
- Facilitate open communication between production associates and management.
- Represent concerns of associates to management and vice versa.
- Apply company and departmental policies consistently; involve HR when needed.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with Production Planning to establish schedules and monitor performance.
- Track production metrics to ensure department goals are met; communicate progress to associates and management.
- Lead daily production operations.
- Perform other duties as required to support business needs.
- High School diploma/GED (required)
- Associate’s Degree (preferred)
- If no Associate’s Degree, 3 years supervisory experience in manufacturing is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Three years people‑leading experience preferred.
- Three years manufacturing experience preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication – proficient.
- Team building – advanced.
- Independent thinking / self‑driven – proficient.
- Decision making – proficient.
- Problem solving – advanced.
- Safety & ergonomics – basic.
- Quality systems knowledge – proficient.
- Microsoft Office skills – proficient.
- Financial acumen – basic.
Full‑time position with a minimum of 4 days in‑office per week. Remote or field‑based roles may have different arrangements. Vaccination against COVID‑19 may be required for certain locations. Workplace accommodations are available as per applicable law.
