HEAD START Family Advocate

As a Head Start Family Advocate candidates would promote children and family's progress across the standards as outlined in the Head Start Parent, Family and Community Engagement Framework to build respectful, culturally responsive and trusting relationships with families. Individuals would also provide assistance and support to the families to ensure all state and federal standards are met. Knowledge of local community resources as well as building new and maintaining relationships and partnerships within community entities.
Individuals must always keep our mission and our Core Values at the Forefront when working with our families and community entities. Candidates must be able to demonstrate effective communication and a non-judgmental attitude when working with staff, families and children.
Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership offers a full benefit package including Health, Dental, Life and Vision Insurance, an excellent PTO plan, EAP, and retirement plan. This position is Monday-Thursday with a flexible schedule.
Qualified individuals must have: a high school diploma or equivalent; a valid Nebraska Driver's License, reliable transportation, and a working phone. Candidates must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid training within 90 days of hire and maintain current certification throughout employment. Prior experience working with Preschool aged children is preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Pay for this position starts at $15.88 or more depending on qualifications.
Position runs from August 1st through Mid May every year.
