Our client is seeking a Cost Accountant to lead the implementation of standard costs and manage the full cost accounting process. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cost accounting methodologies, inventory valuation, and variance analysis within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement standard costing methods to improve financial reporting and operational decision-making.
• Manage the full cost accounting cycle, including inventory valuation, cost allocations, and overhead analysis.
• Conduct variance analysis, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure accurate tracking of material, labor, and overhead costs.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations for cost-related accounts.
• Monitor and analyze key cost metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and GAAP.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of costing processes and systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing and full cost accounting processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
