Accounting Manager

One of Atrium's top clients, a reputable and growing rental organization, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team based in Columbus, OH. This is an incredible opportunity for an Accounting Manager to be involved in a highly visible role while managing multi-location sites and accounting staff. This must be technically strong, possess a deep understanding of US GAAP, and have proven management experience.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$120k - $150k plus bonus

Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager will report directly to the CFO and will primarily assist with consolidated financial reporting while providing overall assurance that accounting activities are accurate and compliant. This role serves as the leader for financial review processes and partners with an existing decentralized accounting staff. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in both the accounting function and broader strategic finance initiatives.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

* Oversee the complete month-end close process and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.

* Review and consolidate site-level financials into accurate company-wide financial statements.

* Manage AP, AR, and payroll review to ensure alignment with company policies.

* Maintain compliance with internal controls, US GAAP standards, and state and local sales tax requirements.

* Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the Director of Finance.

* Lead preparation of audit-ready financials and support external audit processes.

* Support the centralization of accounting processes to drive standardization and efficiency.

* Review and consolidate budgets, providing financial insights and recommendations.

* Work closely with both internal and external auditors as needed.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

* 5 - 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.

* Experience supervising accounting teams across multiple entities.

* Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, consolidations, and audit preparation.

* Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Quick Books or other ERP systems.

* Ability to thrive in a growing, evolving environment with competing priorities.

Preferred Experience /Skills for the Accounting Manager:

* Experience with private equity reporting.

* Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

* Background in both public accounting and private industry.

* Familiarity with multi-location operations and centralizing accounting functions.

* CPA preferred but not required.

Education Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
