Hixen Search Group is seeking a Staff Accountant for a publicly traded company in Columbus. The successful candidate will be responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, preparation of monthly financial reports, monthly variance analysis and other various accounting duties. The Staff Accountant works with a team of other Accountants and will report to an Accounting Manager. He or she will be given the opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility over time.

• Manage the general ledger for various properties/entities on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Process necessary accruals and adjustments to ensure accurate and complete financials.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assist with annual budget process, reforecasting, projections, and analysis
• Review intercompany transactions
• Various accounting duties as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Entry level up to 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong written and verbal communicator
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Must have good attention to detail and be organized
