Missouri Vein Care is seeking an experienced Billing & Revenue Cycle Supervisor to lead the day-to-day performance of our billing and revenue-cycle operations. This is a hands-on working supervisor position for someone who can actively work claims while also managing the bigger picture—AR performance, billing worklists, denials, payer issues, reporting, workflow priorities, and follow-through.
This role is especially well suited for someone with advanced Next Gen billing and reporting experience who can use data to identify where revenue is getting stuck, determine what action is needed, and help ensure issues move toward resolution.
What You’ll DoYou will actively participate in billing and claim‑resolution work while maintaining functional oversight of the revenue cycle.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor overall AR, claim worklists, denials, reimbursement timelines, payment trends, and billing performance.
- Review and actively manage 60+, 90+, and 120+ AR
. - Establish billing priorities based on aging, timely filing requirements, financial impact, and business needs.
- Work complex claims, denials, appeals, reconsiderations, underpayments, and payer issues through resolution.
- Provide dotted‑line workflow direction and accountability support to the billing team.
- Monitor work progress and follow up when established timelines or expectations are not being met.
- Serve as the operational escalation point for billing issues that cannot be resolved through routine follow‑up.
- Coordinate with clinical, authorization, registration, and other internal teams when issues affect reimbursement.
- Manage significant payer and third‑party billing vendor issues through resolution.
- Identify workflow gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen revenue‑cycle performance.
Strong Next Gen expertise is a key requirement for this position.
The Supervisor will be expected to:
- Produce, review, and monitor Next Gen billing and revenue‑cycle reports
. - Analyze AR aging, claim status, denials, reimbursement delays, clean‑claim performance, collections, and other key indicators.
- Identify trends, exceptions, and emerging revenue‑cycle concerns.
- Drill into reporting to understand why balances or claims are not progressing
. - Translate reporting into specific priorities and action items.
- Monitor whether corrective actions are improving results.
- Communicate significant trends, financial risks, and revenue‑cycle concerns to Dr. Ryan and practice leadership.
- Provide leadership with recommended next steps rather than simply reporting numbers.
The Supervisor owns the overall effectiveness and results of the revenue cycle
, balancing hands‑on billing work with process oversight, reporting, problem‑solving, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- 4+ years of medical billing, accounts receivable, or revenue‑cycle experience.
- Advanced working knowledge of Next Gen billing functionality and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to run, interpret, and use revenue‑cycle reports to drive action.
- Strong experience analyzing AR aging and claim worklists.
- Strong denial‑management, appeals, reconsideration, and payer‑resolution experience.
- Experience identifying underpayments, reimbursement delays, and billing trends.
- Ability to manage complex and high‑dollar claims through resolution.
- Experience providing workflow direction, coordinating priorities, and supporting accountability.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving, and follow‑through skills.
- Ability to identify issues proactively and recommend solutions.
- Ability to clearly communicate revenue‑cycle concerns and recommendations to physicians and leadership.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare billing requirements.
We are looking for someone who can work the claims and manage the process
. The right person will be able to look at a Next Gen report or AR worklist, quickly identify where attention is needed, determine the appropriate next steps, and ensure there is consistent follow‑through.
This is not a traditional people‑management role. It is a working revenue‑cycle leadership position focused on process ownership, workflow direction, reporting, technical expertise, accountability, and results.
