Senior Accountant

The Bolton Group is partnering with a company in the Columbus area to identify a Senior Accountant
. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and partnering with others to support accurate financial reporting.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, general ledger accounting, and financial analysis while helping improve accounting processes.

• Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, explaining trends and variances.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and responding to requests.
• Support internal controls and compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather information and resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Typically 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organization.
• Ability to manage deadlines and communicate effectively across teams.
• Public accounting experience and/or CPA designation is a plus, but not required.
