Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations for a team in Columbus, Ohio. This Long-term Contract opportunity offers a flexible 20-hour workweek, with the option to work either morning or afternoon shifts. The position is well suited for someone who is comfortable working with reconciliations, financial entries, and detailed accounting records while using Excel and accounting software effectively.

Responsibilities:

- Reconcile account balances and review financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Prepare and post debit and credit entries with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Process invoices and maintain organized records to support timely accounts payable activities.

- Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including recording payments and updating customer account information.

- Enter financial data into accounting systems and spreadsheets while ensuring completeness and accuracy.

- Use Excel to track, analyze, and organize accounting information for reporting and daily operations.

- Support routine bookkeeping activities in Quick Books and help maintain accurate financial documentation. Requirements - Demonstrated experience with account reconciliations and general accounting support tasks.

- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to manage and analyze financial data efficiently.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.

- Experience using Quick Books and performing accurate data entry in accounting environments.

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Ability to manage part-time responsibilities independently within a flexible weekly schedule.
