It is seeking a Tax Senior to help complete tax engagements for clients across a variety of industries and to develop the next generation of tax staff. Why join us? Hands-on work preparing and reviewing corporate, partnership, trust, and individual income tax returns Exposure to clients across various industries, including tax planning and other special projects Opportunity to supervise and train tax staff and interns, building leadership experience early Direct interaction with department leaders and client personnel Coaching and mentoring responsibilities with a focus on professional and technical development Opportunity to participate in approved non-client initiatives that improve firm administration Chance to represent the firm and build relationships at community events, professional organizations, and prospect meetings Open to candidates who are CPAs or have passed two sections of the CPA exam Job Details Analyze and prepare corporate, partnership, trust, and individual income tax returns Review tax work papers and returns, and assist the tax management team with all aspects of engagements Oversee completion of tax returns, tax planning, and miscellaneous projects Supervise and review the work of tax staff, other seniors, and interns Train and develop tax staff and interns, providing timely feedback and identifying coaching opportunities Consult and communicate with department leaders and client personnel to complete engagements Lead client and team interaction to ensure efficient flow of information Complete engagements within budget, and monitor and report actual hours against budget Prepare accurate, neat, organized, error-free work papers Research new and complex tax issues to solve problems Assist with quarterly and year-end planning Identify performance improvement opportunities for clients Participate in approved non-client initiatives to improve firm administration Represent the firm and build relationships through outside events and activities Interested in hearing more?
