We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support a busy finance team in Columbus, Ohio. This long-term contract opportunity is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage a large volume of transactions with accuracy. The ideal candidate brings strong Excel capability, excellent organizational habits, and a careful approach to invoice handling and payment activity.

Responsibilities:

• Review, code, and enter incoming invoices accurately while maintaining timely processing standards.
• Manage high-volume accounts payable activities and keep records organized for efficient tracking and follow-up.
• Prepare and support check runs, ensuring payments are issued correctly and in accordance with company procedures.
• Reconcile invoice details, investigate discrepancies, and work with internal partners or vendors to resolve payment issues.
• Use Excel to organize payment data, track outstanding items, and support reporting needs for the accounts payable function.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation related to invoices, approvals, and payment transactions.
• Contribute to accounts payable automation processes when applicable, including working within automated tools and workflows.
