Accounts Payable Assistant

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join a Columbus, OH organization on a contract-to-hire basis. This position is ideal for someone with prior accounting or bookkeeping experience who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with financial transactions and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices
• Review invoices and billing information for accuracy and proper documentation
• Prepare and process payments, deposits, and other routine financial transactions
• Assist with account reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed
• Respond to internal and external questions related to invoices and payments

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including formulas, formatting and pivot tables
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Valid driver's license required
