Lease Administrator

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Lease Administrator to support lease operations and property accounting activities in Columbus, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone with experience managing lease records, maintaining financial accuracy, and contributing to timely monthly close processes. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with accounting and property teams to ensure lease-related transactions are properly tracked and reported.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain lease data, critical dates, charges, and supporting documentation within Yardi to ensure complete and accurate records.

- Review lease terms and apply them correctly to billing, reporting, and accounting processes across assigned properties.

- Assist with month-end close by preparing reconciliations, recording accruals, and verifying lease-related financial activity.

- Support general ledger accuracy by researching discrepancies and coordinating corrections tied to lease transactions.

- Partner with property accounting staff to monitor rent schedules, amendments, renewals, and other lease changes.

- Generate recurring and ad hoc reports to help track lease obligations, account balances, and operational trends.

- Ensure lease administration activities align with internal controls, accounting standards, and company procedures. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in lease administration, property accounting, or a closely related function.

- Working knowledge of property accounting principles, including accrual accounting and general ledger processes.

- Hands-on experience using Yardi software for lease management, accounting support, or property operations.

- Ability to contribute to month-end close activities with strong attention to accuracy and deadlines.

- Understanding of lease accounting concepts and the operational details involved in administering lease records.

- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with accounting and property management teams.
